Introduction

Groomsport is a small seaside village on the Southern shore of Belfast Lough, Northern Ireland. This website has been set up by Groomsport Village Association committee. Last revision: 26th October 2008.

The Committee

The members of the committee are elected on an annual basis. The AGM is held during the Autumn months (usually in the boat-house), when villagers meet, to elect a new committee and to air their views about village affairs in general. This meeting can be lively!! Please use the above AGM link to access a draft of our new constitution and the 2007 AGM minutes.

Communications

The Committee can be contacted from this website or via a postbox in the local Spar shop. These messages will be directed to the Hon. Secretary who will bring their contents to the attention of the committee. We publish a newsletter roughly every four months. It is distributed to every house in the village and copies will be available from this site

Working together to protect the future of our village

This is our mission statement and neatly summarises the central purpose of the Association.

This useful little item is found on our harbour. It is brightly coloured for a good reason but many people still do not see it. Skippers get very attached to it !

We may publish your pictures of Groomsport or its environs. Send us a copy if you wish.
